Assuming you mean the general state of mimetic crisis: this is what religious institutions are supposed to do. Most don't do it well, so they just continue the process of mimetic violence.
I am not a mimetics expert, but the Girard book I would recommend on this topic is I See Satan Fall Like Lightning.
It's a better translation than most Girard work, which is usually insanely dense.
It's a good intro to Girard's mimetic theory.
It goes into how myth works.
It goes into Girard's view of Christianity as a system that breaks the cycle of mimetic scandal and why -- this is usually deep within his other books or hard to find in general.
Part of me thinks the tech twitterati don't like talking about this book because it's so transparently religious. It's his best work and provides a better answer to your question than I could.
If you mean a specific crisis/scandal, let me know and I'll try to give you my understanding of it.
